Kristen Weedmark is an associate lawyer at Wilson McCormack Law Group.
In her practice, Ms. Weedmark drafts bylaws for strata corporations and assists strata corporations with governance, including bylaw enforcement. She also advises clients on human rights matters and residential tenancy matters. In addition, she researches the latest developments in strata law, including case law, regarding issues such as cannabis, privacy, and age-restriction and rental bylaws.
Ms. Weedmark has a background in criminal law, and is a strong advocate for her clients. She has represented clients in the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
Ms. Weedmark studied law, with a specialization in law and social justice certification, at the University of British Columbia. During law school, Ms. Weedmark was a student caseworker for the Innocence Project at the University of British Columbia where she helped applicants with their innocence claims. In this role she drafted submissions to the Minister of Justice regarding a potential wrongful conviction.
In her spare time, Ms. Weedmark enjoys practicing yoga and knitting extra-long scarves. She is presently increasing her creative skills by learning crochet and embroidery.
